The total number of full- and part-time students attending the Berufliche Schule in Husum is 4000. The students either live in the mainland or on one of the islands of Northern Frisia. 

The school is staffed with about 200 teachers. It is a college of further education that offers a wide variety of training courses. The number of jobs taught at the vocational school is about 60. The students can receive training in the following subjects:

• Agriculture

• Construction work

• Electrical engineering

•  Nutrition and housekeeping

• Health and body care

• Timber – processing

• Metalwork

• Social work

•  Economics and administration

Besides, students can go to secondary or intermediate school to qualify for university entrance or to take their certificate for further vocational education. Both branches belong to our school as well.

As a particularity, the Berufliche Schule in Husum has seperate classes for students with special needs such as hearing impairments and physical disabilities.

The biggest of our three school buildings is situated next to the central station (Herzog-Adolf-Straße), another one is located further away from the centre (Hermann-Tast  Straße). There is also a remote school building located at a distance of 17 km in Bredstedt.

Apart from the classrooms, there are rooms particularly equipped for practical training such as garages, laboratories, kitchens, laundrettes, computer room etc.
